    I've found this forum topic on Retro rally on the net. Well, we're involved in it pretty much so I( can give you additional information.


    The website www.retrorally.hu is in Hungarian and in English language too.


    Sorry, I don't speak German so good to be able to write in yourí language or translate!


    One of the rules is that the entered vehicles (car, jeep, truck, motorcycle, etc..., it can be anything motorized) have to be at least 20 years old. (My Opel Rekord for example is 40 years old and it will be my vehicle on Retro Rally.)

    If you're interested, please notice that the route takes 15 days to finish accross 12 countries and 7500 kilometers. Just to outline the countries: Hungary (the start will be in Budapest), Slovakia, Czech Republic, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, (and/or Russia), Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary. (In Germany the field of the run drives in the direction of Dresden, Schwerm, take a ferry to Danmark at Puttgarden.)


    In Norway at the town of Tana (Tana-fjorden) the participants of tour-category will have 2 chance to continue the route.
    - 1st one: they can relax (they will have a rest day) and enter Finland, and from Helsinki will take a ferry to Tallinn, Estonia.
    - 2nd alternative: the touring teams (Cool-Tour and Nostalgia) can follow the participants of race category (Rally Challenge). They will have a real adventure in Russia on the fantastic tundra region! At Tana (Norway) along the Varanger-fjord they will enter Russia, go towards Murmansk, Moncegorsk, Kem and Sankt Peterburg. They reach the Estonian border at Narva (approximately 1500km and 3 days of travel).


    All teams - who choose the 1st and 2nd route option - will meet again in Riga at the latest!


    The route and the navigation points will be listed in the itinerary what the entrants receive from the Organiser.

    Dear Friends,


    Let me call the attention on some special offer now to save money on the entry-fee. You can read the details on www.retrorally.hu homepage!


    1st. : A discount of the entry-fee is available for auto-motor or fan club-members and who are member of any auto-motor related association. It doesn't matter where you live, in which country, you just have to prove your membership!


    2nd. : For participants there are 2 other extra options now:
    a) Until 30 April Organiser provide a 10% discount from the entry-fee in case the entrant transfer the total amount of the entry-fee in one sum.
    b) You may pay the entry-fee by 3 equal instalments at most (it means that you pay the first payment when you sign up to the event, and you decide about the other payment times), although the total amount of the entry-fee have to be transfered until 15 July, 2010. However, if you take this opportunity, the final entry-fee increases by 5%.


    Charity work programme is accompanied to Retro Rally. Each year the donations are designed to serve a good purpose.
